Embracing its strategic aspiration – a thriving south Murihiku manawa tōnui – the Trust is taking a fresh new approach to sharing the outcomes of the funding it distributes.
Community Trust South Chief Executive Jackie Flutey said this new approach included identifying the outcomes that the Trust hoped to see because of its investment.
“A very small tweak to our funding application form will simplify the application process for applicants and make it easier for them to share the outcome of their contribution,” she said.
The Trust’s strategic aspiration has three strategic pou (priorities): Strong foundations, People and Places, and Sustainability and Climate. There are several priority areas that sit under these pou which now all have an associated outcome – or in the case of some priorities more than one.
Recognised as a consequence of an action, the Trust’s outcomes can generally be framed as an increase or decrease in the specific priority.
It is these outcomes that will provide the foundation for success across the Trust’s strategic pou and contribute to lasting-impact for communities across the South.
